Sideload a video player on iPhone.
4789 is a free, open-source app that is not in the App Store. You install it with your own Apple Account. No jailbreak, no paid developer account.
Steps
5 steps. One job each.

Turn on Developer Mode
iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Developer Mode. Turn it on and restart when asked.

Pick a sideloader
SideStore refreshes over Wi-Fi with no computer. AltStore and Sideloadly need a Mac or PC each week. Set-up steps for all three are on the install page.

Download the IPA
Get the latest release from GitHub. Check its SHA-256 against the published checksum.

Sign and install
In your sideloader, tap + and pick the IPA. It signs the app with your Apple Account and puts 4789 on the Home Screen.

Refresh before day 7
Free Apple Accounts sign apps for 7 days. SideStore refreshes on its own over Wi-Fi. AltStore and Sideloadly need the computer again.

Three-app limit
A free Apple Account can sign three sideloaded apps at a time. Remove one to add another.
Updating
Install the new IPA over the old app with the same Apple Account. Your library and settings stay. Do not delete the app to update it.
Is it safe
You sign the app on your own device. 4789 never sees your Apple Account. Only install a build whose checksum matches the release page.
