Common questions
Where does the library come from?
From the compatible catalogs, lists, playlists, and files you choose. 4789 is a client, library manager, and player. It does not supply or host media.
How do I connect a catalog or playback service?
Add its compatible manifest or install URL inside the app. The website never asks for a provider password or private service key. Developers can read the compatible service protocol.
Why can’t the iPhone find my television?
Open 4789 TV or Kodi on the destination and keep both devices on the same local network. Guest Wi-Fi and some VPN settings block device-to-device discovery. If discovery remains empty, add the receiver’s local address manually.
What should I do when playback fails?
Open Sources and try another playable option for the same title. If every option fails, confirm that the connected service is reachable. If the television accepted the title but did not start, reopen the receiver and try again.
Where are my library and settings stored?
4789 requires no account. Library and watch state are stored on the device. A settings export can be saved in storage you control and imported on another device. Connected services still receive the requests you make through them.
