4789 for Mac
A complete library and player.
Coming later.
4789 for Mac already has a working foundation. The public version is still being prepared, so this page shows the intended role without borrowing iPad footage or pretending the release is ready.
It is more than a receiver.
Stand-alone library
Browse, search, open details, choose sources, and manage local media without starting on the phone.
Desktop player
Use full-window playback, audio and subtitle controls, downloads, and Mac-native windows and commands.
Continue from iPhone
When both apps are available, the Mac can appear as a local receiver and continue a title selected on the couch.
Carry settings deliberately
Export a settings package, keep it in storage you control, and import it on another device when needed.
Familiar system. Native Mac behavior.
The title, source, player, and receiver model stays consistent. The interface is designed around a keyboard, pointer, wide canvas, windows, and menus.
- No stretched phone UIDesktop density and navigation are treated as desktop problems.
- No public build yetCapabilities can change before the first release.
- No substitute screenshotsReal Mac footage will replace the quiet preview when it passes the public capture review.
The Mac version is coming later.
The iPhone public beta and current 4789 TV release come first.
