Privacy policy

No advertising, tracking, or data harvesting
4789 contains no advertising SDKs, no third-party analytics, and no behavioural tracking. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not transmit your usage, library, or viewing activity to us or to any third party for advertising or profiling.
Your data stays with you
Your library, watch history, settings, and the list of services you connect are stored on your device and in your own private storage, for example your device's local database and, if you enable it, your personal iCloud account. This data is controlled by you. We have no access to it.
Credentials are stored in the Keychain
Any keys, tokens, or credentials you enter for the services and media servers you connect are stored in the system Keychain on your device. They are not written to logs, not copied to us, and never leave your device except when used to authenticate directly with the service you gave them for.
Network requests you initiate
When you browse or play, 4789 makes requests directly from your device to the services you have connected and to public metadata APIs, for artwork, cast, ratings, and similar catalogue information. Those requests are subject to the privacy policies and terms of the operators of those services and APIs, not to this policy. 4789 does not proxy this traffic through a server we run for the purpose of observing it.
Optional AI features
Some optional features can use an AI model to help rank or match results. These features are off unless you turn them on, and they operate using an API key you supply, stored in the Keychain. When enabled, the relevant request text is sent to the AI provider you configured, under that provider's own terms, and only after your explicit consent. If you do not configure a key and grant consent, no data is sent to any AI provider.
Children
4789 is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Material changes will be reflected in the app's About screen.
This website
This website (4789library.com) keeps things simple too:
- Launch list. If you leave your email for launch updates, we store it with our hosting provider (Cloudflare) and use it for one thing: telling you when 4789 is available. Nothing else, no sharing, no marketing chains. Want off the list? Email [email protected] and we delete it.
- Cookieless counts. Product pages keep anonymous, cookie-free counters (page views, whether the tour was finished). No cookies, no fingerprinting, no personal data, and none of it runs on this policy page.
- Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes visitor IP addresses to deliver pages and prevent abuse, as any host does.
